All About The Author
Dr. Z is Ed Zottola,
a retired professor of food microbiology from the University
of Minnesota.
He caught his first fish at the age of six using
a safety pin, a piece of string
and a worm. It was a small
trout, not a keeper. From that time on, he was "hooked"
on
fishing.
The Willie Walleye stories were originally bedtime stories
for his two oldest
grand daughters. After a couple dozen of
these fish tales were well received by
the children, he wrote
them down to share with others.

Ed is still an avid fisherman. He has fished the streams
and lakes of Minnesota
and Oregon. Other fishing adventures include the Pacific Ocean off the coast
of Oregon, the Inland Passage to
Alaska, the streams of
Alaska and the salmon
streams of Nova
Scotia. Currently he
is out fishing somewhere
in the region of
northern Minnesota,
still wondering what
walleyes do in their
spare time.

Book Dedication
|
My two oldest granddaughters, Jessica Zottola and Amy Masoni patiently and quietly listened
to my initial telling of the underwater adventures of Willie Walleye.
This book is dedicated to them.
